Five9 Integration

Last updated: September 17, 2026

Airspeed can ingest your Five9 call recordings. Once set up, your Five9 calls are processed just like any other conversation in Airspeed — with summaries, insights, scorecards, and tasks.

Five9 is a slightly different setup from our self-serve call recorders. Instead of connecting an API key in the app, Five9 exports your recordings to an Amazon S3 bucket that Airspeed provides. Our team sends you the export settings, you enter them into Five9, and your calls start flowing in. It's a one-time setup.

How it works

  1. Airspeed provisions a secure S3 storage location for your recordings and sends you the settings.

  2. You add those settings to Five9 as a recording export destination.

  3. Five9 delivers each new recording to that location, and Airspeed processes it automatically — typically within minutes of the call ending.

What you'll need to do

1. Request the integration

Email support@goairspeed.com to get started and include:

  • Your data region preference (US or EU), if you have one.

  • The reps whose calls you'd like ingested. Make sure each is set up as a user in Airspeed with the same email address they use in Five9, and has call recording enabled — Airspeed matches each recording to a rep using that email.

We'll reply with your Five9 export settings: an S3 bucket name, region, path, and a set of access credentials (an access key and secret). We send the credentials over a secure channel.

2. Add the export destination in Five9

In the Five9 VCC Administrator, add a new recording upload destination using the S3 settings we sent you. Five9's own guides walk through the screens:

When you add the destination:

  • Enter the bucket, region, access key, and secret exactly as we provided them.

  • Use the path / prefix we specify so recordings land in the right place.

  • Keep Five9's default recording file naming. Airspeed reads the rep's email, phone number, and disposition from the file names, so please don't change the naming pattern.

  • Use Five9's Test button to confirm the connection succeeds before saving.

Note: If you're not sure where these settings live, your Five9 account team can help you add an Advanced Recording S3 destination.

3. Let us know it's live

Once you've added and tested the destination, reply to support@goairspeed.com to confirm. We'll verify recordings are arriving and switch ingestion on, then let you know once your Five9 calls start appearing in Airspeed.

FAQ

Will my Five9 calls be matched to my CRM?
Yes — the same way native Airspeed calls are. Airspeed uses participant phone numbers and your calendar to match calls to Contacts, Companies, and Deals.

Do I need my own AWS account or S3 bucket?
No. Airspeed provides the storage. You only enter the settings we send you into Five9.

How quickly are calls processed?
Airspeed checks for new recordings on a short, regular cycle, so most calls appear within minutes of the recording landing in storage.

Are very short calls ingested?
Very short recordings (roughly under 30 seconds) are skipped, as they rarely contain a meaningful conversation.
